Security Architect - Cloud / Application Security
We're looking for a hands-on Security Architect with 4+ years of cybersecurity experience and proven expertise in either Cloud Security Architecture or Application Security to help design and secure modern cloud and application environments.
What You'll Do:
- Design and review secure architectures across cloud, application, and cloud-native environments.
- Conduct security architecture reviews and threat modeling to identify risks and define mitigation strategies.
- Partner with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to embed security throughout the SDLC and cloud infrastructure lifecycle.
- Design and implement security controls across cloud platforms, applications, APIs, containers, and Kubernetes.
- Lead security architecture for cloud transformation, platform modernization, and AI-enabled initiatives.
- Translate security risks into business impact, guide implementation, and communicate recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in Cybersecurity with strong expertise in either Cloud Security Architecture or Application Security Architecture - Must
- Hands-on experience designing secure architectures in cloud environments and/or modern application ecosystems
- Strong expertise in at least one of the following: AWS, Azure or GCP security or Application Security, Secure SDLC, Threat Modeling, and Secure Software Design
- Experience with containers, Kubernetes, APIs, cloud-native technologies, DevSecOps practices, and CI/CD security controls.
- Ability to identify security risks, guide engineering teams through remediation, and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience reviewing application code
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CCSK, or cloud certifications) - Advantage
- Background in Penetration Testing or Offensive Security - Advantage
- Active Top Secret civilian clearance - Advantage
