You will work closely with development teams, support complex development processes, implement infrastructure solutions, and play a key role in maintaining stable, efficient, and highly available database environments.
What You'll Do:
- Install, maintain, and support DB2 products and related infrastructure in a z/OS environment
- Monitor, tune, and optimize database performance and operational processes
- Design and maintain DB2 databases while ensuring high availability, stability, and performance
- Work closely with development teams, providing professional guidance and support throughout development processes
- Analyze system requirements and design and implement database and infrastructure solutions
- Troubleshoot database and system-related issues in complex enterprise environments
- Support ongoing improvements and optimization of database processes and infrastructure
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a DB2 DBA – Must
- Proven experience working with DB2 in a z/OS / Mainframe environment – Must
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience with DB2 utilities – Must
- Hands-on knowledge of JCL and REXX – Must
- Familiarity with infrastructure products and Mainframe environments – Must
- Knowledge of SMP/E and RACF – Advantage
- Strong system-level and analytical thinking
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex technical challenges
