What You’ll Do:
- Establish and lead a new team of skilled software engineers, setting a high technical and cultural standard.
- Recruit, mentor, and grow top engineering talent, ensuring a healthy and high-performing team.
- Define and evolve the platform’s technical architecture and roadmap, from early design to scaled implementation.
- Drive end-to-end ownership of product delivery, ensuring quality, timelines, and measurable impact.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, QA, DevOps, Data, and other stakeholders to align on goals and execute successfully.
- Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-availability payment services and infrastructure.
- Build systems with future scalability, extensibility, and compliance in mind.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience, including 5+ years leading engineers, with a track record of hiring, growing, and managing high-performing teams.
- Hands-on experience in building and scaling payments or fintech systems.
- Strong platform engineering background, including microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and versioned APIs.
- Deep knowledge of security, compliance, and regulatory considerations in fintech/payments.
- Demonstrated success in taking products from 0 → 1 in fast-paced environments.
- Backend-focused, with working knowledge of modern frontend frameworks.
- Strong system design and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on, proactive mindset.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming and software design patterns.
