What You'll Do:
- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases across various versions
- Manage instances, databases, schemas, users, roles, and security policies
- Monitor performance and identify bottlenecks using advanced tools
- Develop and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, indexes (clustered, non-clustered, columnstore)
- Execute routine maintenance tasks – statistics updates, index reorganizations, backups
- Collaborate with developers on database schema design and query optimization
- Conduct code reviews and support troubleshooting of application-side query performance
- Assist in planning and executing database-related releases and deployments
- Build and maintain ETL processes and data migration scripts
- Support CI/CD pipelines involving database changes
- Provide mentoring and training to development teams on database best practices
Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience managing enterprise databases- Must
- Proven experience in critical production environments- Must
- Ability in database design and normalization- Must
- Experience in developing and optimizing complex stored procedures- Must
- Understanding of application architecture and its interaction with the database- Must
- Proficiency with management tools: SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS
- Familiarity with performance monitoring tools: SQL Server Profiler, Performance Monitor
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for DBA task automation-Advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field- Advantage
