What You'll Do:

  • Serve in the bank’s Center of Excellence (COE)

  • Own the design and development of scalable backend services from concept to production

  • Evaluate and introduce new libraries, tools, and frameworks into the bank’s tech ecosystem

  • Collaborate on architectural design, technical specifications, and documentation

  • Lead backend projects using Java or Python, across frameworks like Spring, FastAPI, or Node.js

  • Develop and deploy microservices in environments based on OpenShift (OCP) and AWS

  • Work with databases including SQL Server, MongoDB, and Redis

  • Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ

  • Use AI tools to enhance and automate aspects of the development process

  • Write and present technical design documents, mentor developers, and lead knowledge-sharing sessions

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience with Java or Python Must

  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and scalable, asynchronous systems

  • Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB)

  • Solid experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other event brokers

  • Practical hands-on work with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux-based environments

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Artifactory)

  • Proven experience using Git and source control best practices

  • Hands-on work with AWS services (Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, EventBridge, S3)

  • Strong research and evaluation skills for comparing tools and introducing new technologies

  • Confident in presenting architecture and mentoring others
