You will collaborate closely with development teams, leading performance optimization, database design, and hands-on SQL development to ensure production stability and reliability.
What You’ll Do:
- Write and optimize complex SQL Server queries
- Assisting in database structure design and schema optimization
- Developing and optimizing stored procedures, functions, and views
- Performing code reviews for T-SQL queries and procedures
- Supporting the resolution of application query performance issues
- Guiding and mentoring development teams on database-related topics
- Collaborating in the planning of releases and deployments involving database changes
- Developing and managing ETL processes and data migration scripts
- Supporting CI/CD pipelines that include database changes
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as an Application DBA -Must
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server (Familiarity with performance monitoring tools: SQL Server Profiler, Performance Monitor) -Must
- Proven experience working in critical production environments -Must
- Experience with management tools: SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS - Advantage
- Knowledge in the insurance domain- Advantage
- .NET - Advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field -Advantage
- Ability to design databases (database design) and apply normalization principles
- Experience in developing and optimizing complex stored procedures
- Understanding of application architecture and its interaction with the database
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts
